Well last week was very eventful. On Thursday, as part of the Heritage Open days we welcomed over sixty visitors from far and wide. They enjoyed a fascinating tour of the Illuminations depot followed by a visit to our Heritage department. Here we presented some talks, revealing some of the history behind the Collection and everyone was able to see the paintings and photographs up close. The featured painting of the New York Skyline is from 1950 and was made into one of the very first large tableau, following the war.
